Now Showing: Additional Engage Feature Releases

While the upcoming movie slate for 2024 is looking rather sparse, we’re glad to bring you a number of our own new releases.

Here’s an overview of our latest Engage feature releases designed to make your life easier and help you generate campaign uplift.

ADDITIONAL SEGMENTATION ATTRIBUTES

The new Birthday attribute allows you to segment customers, grouping them into buckets of when their birthday falls.

The new version of the Birthday Attribute allows you to segment based on the year of birth, month of birth, or whether the customer's birthday falls within a selected number of days. From the customer set of attributes, select “Birthday”, then the time range in the drop down menus.

In addition, we know that Circuits can sometimes have a number of Seat Types or Ticket Types (either as a group or across different sites) that are effectively the same, but would have different names (or are the same from the point of view of what you are trying to achieve within the segment) e.g. Adult 4DX and Student 4DX might be categorised as 4DX, or as Adult and Student respectively, but within segmentation we may want to build based on the purchase of either ticket type.

Therefore, we’ve added the ability for you to multi-select Ticket & Seat Types so that a group of tickets can be used in the calculation and segmentation.

PRINT FORMATS

We have made a number of updates regarding the display of Print Formats in Showtime Engage.

Firstly, in Circuit Admin you will now be able to suppress any Print Format information you do not want to display to Customers.

You can set Print Formats to simply not be displayed, or you can change the wording associated with a Print Format.

In this example, Default and Format 2 will not be displayed, and live-live will be displayed as ‘Live’

Secondly, within the Engage and the Showtime widgets, you can group different Print Formats of a title together.

Historically the print format was part of the title's name, and this was not always a ‘customer friendly’ or interesting way to view the formatting information.

When you load the Showtimes widget, and select the date range, you can group versions of the same title together.

To do this select the title versions you would like to group into a single item. Then click the “Group Titles” button.

Note: You can only group one title at a time.

COPYING TEMPLATES ACROSS BRANDS

Replicating templates for Multi Brand clients has been added to Engage. This feature is available on the template tab.

From inside a brand, you can replicate a template by clicking on the three dot menu, then click “Replicate.” From here you will get the option to name it and copy it to your other brands.

Note: When a template is replicated to another brand, these changes happen:

  • General Template content will be copied to the new brand

  • Brand Specific content (header/footer/contact details) will be replaced with the data for the Brand it is copied to.

  • Content Blocks with Dynamic Rules will be copied, but rules behind any Dynamic Widgets will not be copied to the replicated template in the selected Brand.

  • Showtime Widget and Showtime Grid Widget should be copied as content blocks, but no titles selected, due to the possibility of differing titles per brand.

REWARD UPDATES

Rewards Additions - Exclude/Include Marketable

We have cleaned up the User Experience for the addition of rewards, to make it clearer the amount of customers that will receive an award, and make the process of excluding customers more tightly tied to any Campaign exclusions.

The changes are:

  • Excluding by Reward is now within the Campaign exclusion flow, so a customer who has previously received a reward can be more easily excluded from the Email and Reward Process.

  • We are now making it clearer to Include or Exclude Marketable customers from receiving the reward.

  • The Exclusion information, regarding the number of customers being excluded, and the number of customers being targeted for (a) Email and (b) Rewards is now more clearly shown, which should make it easier to understand the audience being targeted.

  • These changes have been made within both the Campaign flow, and within the Reward ‘Silent Campaign’ flow, and should provide a much cleaner and more understandable display of the Target Audience of your campaign.

CONTROL GROUP

We are now enabling the ability to change the size of the Control group in Engage. Historically this has been set to 10%. Being able to customise the control group will give you the flexibility to set a proportional amount of segmented customers, into a control group to satisfy your marketing objectives.

In Circuit Admin, you will now have a Control Group section that will allow you to change the default size of the Control group in Engage. Note: this only applies to newly created Campaigns.

In addition to this, you will also be able to change the size of the control group within the Campaign itself.

From the tracking section of a campaign you are able to edit the control group size manually. You can choose between the percentage or amount of customers you would like to add to the control group.

CUSTOM IMAGE LIBRARY SEARCH

When you are adding an image of Showtimes widget to a template, you can search the “Custom Category Library” by using the asset name.

TWITTER TO X BRANDING

With the recent name change from Twitter to X you can update the logo via the Circuit Admin feature on the bottom right of your browser.
